Debenhams Plus - are they legit?

Hi. I noticed someone posted a mobile phone deal for Debenhams Plus, and just wanted to know if anyone had any problems ordering from them? I've seen some good mobile phones on their site and was thinking of ordering from them instead of sites like AliExpress, BangGood, GearBest etc. What do you think? x

Hmm..... looks bad..... only 4.8/10 - will forget that then.

What about laptopsdirect.co.uk? Are they any good? The reason I'm asking is because I don't want to be waiting weeks for an order to arrive from China etc and just wanted somewhere from the UK

Laptopsdirect are the same company as Buyitdirect/Debenhamsplus. Their products probably come from the UK but I've been put off buy their Trustpilot rating. They also used to run BHSplus until BHS closed down.

Debenhams Plus are affiliated with Debenhams so personally I wouldn't have a problem using them. I haven't previously as I thought their prices to be high. I believe Debenhams stopped selling higher priced electrical items directly from their own website due to people like me with a "gold card" who can get 15% discount on top of any displayed prices. ..... Card doesn't work on Debenhams Plus!

Thanks for the heads up. I will steer clear of them. Are there ANY reputable British companies that stock mobile phones cheaply and delivers quickly?

I bought a Moto G4 from them and never had a problem.

I would say it depends on the phone you are after, as deals vary depending on phone and retailer

They're genuine, they just have poor customer service in my opinion hence why you're finding poor reviews probably.

I used Debenhams Plus recently for a Cooker Hood (not as glamourous as a mobile i know) but the price was the best, free delivery and everything went smoothly from start to finish - cant fault them to be honest

I bought a phone from them at Christmas, no problems with quick delivery

Ok, sooooo you think I should buy an android smartphone there then? Despite the bad reviews for customer services? I'm just a little worried I might get ripped off or not able to get a refund etc

Recently bought a Dell Monitor from them as got 15% discount via work - not had any problems.

Was looking at Cubot Max Black 6 Inch 32GB 4G Unlocked & SIM Free (CUB-MAX-BLK)

Ali Express http://s.aliexpress.com/Nj2qMn6F

DebenhamsPlus https://www.debenhamsplus.com/p/1140734/cubot-max-black-6-inch-32gb-4g-unlocked-and-sim-free

Presumably they're both the same? Are they any good? And what's "hotknot"? Something to do with NFC?

Worst customer service ever! I would not give this company any of your money. Since buying a laptop of them which became faulty, i have been met with a catalogue of poor service - un returned calls which were promised, lost paperwork, rudeness and miss-quoting of customer rights!

I ordered a fitness wrist band from them and the item was in stock on website to be delivered 3-4 days. A whole week went past and no item so I checked on the tracking button in the order email only to find nothing had been dispatched but at least they hadn't charged my card. I cancelled the item and made it clear I wasn't happy and queried the availability of the item in the first place as they now don't have any search results for this item.
The only other two places that stock it are appliances direct and laptops direct whom I know are the same people. I ordered one from appliancesdirect yesterday where the webpage assured me that it was in stock for delivery 18th July. As their free delivery is also 3-4 days, I wondered why I was given a date that is 6 days on, 7 if you include the day of the order. As I ordered well before noon, I reckon that really is 7 days to supply.
I was suspicious when the order confirmation arrived and it had exactly the same layout and options as the debenhamsplus one. I looked this morning to see if anything had progressed but no.
Now I know why - they are the same company as debenhamsplus. I doubt I will ever get my item now.

Just googled Debenhams plus and found this thread.

Pathofpeng how did you get a staff discount? My daughter works for Debenhams so hopefully she does too.

I bought a washing machine from them and it was fine. Cheaper than most other places, free select day delivery and a time slot on the day that they stuck to. They took all the packaging away too. I may well have got lucky, but as it's the only thing Iv'e ever ordered from them I can only go with that.

Hi Sorry for late reply, don't often sign in and only just seen your post.

I work for a Local Authority and as part of that we are members of a discount/reward scheme where we can get deals etc from various high street traders - bit like members of the NHS do.

Hi, my daughter got married, had a wedding list at Debenham's. Hardly any of the items were avaiable but her guests were only told after they paid their money so the young couple ended up with about £400 giftcard which can only be spent at Debenhams. They want to put the money now towards a range from Debenhams Plus. Now having read these reviews we are very worried and in a catch 22 situation.

Ordered a cheap desktop PC for my friend back in Black Friday 2015, ordered at 12:55pm, dispatch email at 1:26pm with tracking number, arrived in 3 days (to N.Ireland - free 10 day shipping was picked). Never had to deal with customer service though. Quidco also tracked and paid out on the purchase.

Debenhams Plus has nothing to do with Debenhams I don’t know how they are allowed to trade under this name. I’m having problems with an order from them that’s how I found out. I asked them if they were linked and got this reply
I can confirm you have ordered from Debenhams Plus we are a different company to Debenhams.
Your order as been dispatched with DPD and they are stating your order is due for delivery today.
