The 'value' hoover from Argos is a cracker. A really good cleaner. Costs £49.99 I was surprised by the quality. (It's a grey and white colour in Argos, but I have seen the same machine available in Tescos for £5 cheaper in green.)

How about a refurbished Dyson, mine was new when I got it, but I've had it around 15 years and it still works as good as new. Almost all parts are replaceable too.

Henry every time. Excellent vacuum cleaner.

henry or hetty hoover all day long, and i dont even have one.

I used to but the missus wanted a "dyson" top of the range one at the time and i hate it

I had a cordless dyson thats just broken and it didnt even pick anything up it was pants read some good reviews on the Henry and hetty and on offer in asda at the min

2nd hand dog & cat Miele, anything new at that price will be rubbish.

Get a Henry one. We use them at work and they're good (I personally don't see the difference between the dyson one we have at home and the henry ones at work). Reliable and I doubt it's too expensive to get replacement parts when things break
