hi, I'm after a sliding mitre saw, will spend upto 150ish, its for diy so not heavy use, laying some composite decking and I'm after a nice straight cut and accurate angles for the corners. any recommendations or any I should avoid? I have seen the Evolution fury 3 xl for about £155 so that is top of my list so far..Any advice greatly received. jon

The Metabo KGS216M is a pretty great saw in that price range.

Evolution isn't one of the best brands out there...
I've got a Guild saw - got it for £75 off Ebay, has done a good job so far.

You could try JCB: diy.com/dep…prd
Would not buy the JCB, I have one and although it’s ok, it’s not made that well, hence I have been looking around and will probably buy the new Evolution saw which is only sold at Screwfix at the moment.
I prefer the larger blade on the Evolution over the Metabo as it give you a bigger depth of cut. Also the Evolution cuts through a lot of different material so would also be good for your decking
I bought a used Elektra beckum 10" saw - made in Germany - taken over by metabo
These type have a super sweet induction motor and just hum as opposed to a brush motor one
ebay.co.uk/itm…yfM
And you can buy parts for them unlike b&q etc. cheapies
