Parcel2go is also £90+, the parcelforce voucher could come in useful thanks.

Have found them to be the cheapest to USA, dont know about germany though - a lot depends on the dimensions of your package

Interparcel are slightly cheaper at £70 + whatever it would be for compensation cover.

You get quidco with interparcel - only something like 4% but if it's the cheapest courrier in the first place then it's a couple of extra quid saved.

This may sound peculiar but can you seperate some of the parcel and send it in two consignments? If so, looking at the parcel2go prices,
# Euro Parcel Delivery Up to 10kg £19.99 + vat - DHL *PLUS* # Euro Parcel Delivery Up to 25kg £26.99 + vat - DHL

This would work out cheaper than £70

Good point, i could split it into 2.

It's the volumetric size which is pushing the price up i'll just have to package it as small as i can.

Hope you managed to send it ok and I'm pleased my suggestion of splitting into 2 parcels was useful.
