Dell Mini Hackintosh - Kernel Panic anyway to fix this?

Hi guys,

Been trying to sort this out most of the day and getting no where.

I recently bought a Dell Mini 10v from another forums and the person i bought it from put Snow Leopard on it for me. (Got the original WinXP and Apple disks too)

Its been working fine since June but the GF just updated it and now getting this error every time we boot up.

Mac OS version
Not Set Yet

Kernel Version
Darwin Kernal Version 10.4.0
Inspiron 1011

System nanoseconds 181720352

Have tried getting into the system using shift and system-y and -v but this always comes back to the same error message

Is there anyway to save this, and save the data on it?

thanks

thanks, cannot seem to find a solution over there

is the data important on it?

SImple test, have you added any additional RAM?

RAM is a major cause of kernal panics, on the other hand getting a KP is not uncommon on a hackintosh as depending on what update you have used it may conflict or reset the original modified version of your OSX.

Yes she used the genuine apple update.

Will see if can find a guide as this was already on there when i bought it. Just bought a 16gb usb stick as that is required. Also will hopefully do a dual boot on W7 too.

it's not a ram problem, it's what happens when you update to 10.6.4 when you don't have the latest netbook installer installed!! (i've also got a 10v hackintosh)

So there is no way to get anything back then? Tried system-y and -v both did not load up

i googled this earlier and if you prepare another hackintosh usb stick with the latest netbook installer, boot from that, then go to utilities and use netbook installer to update the current install, it might work...

not sure because i've never tried it, my hackintosh is still running 10.6.0 !
