Dell Studio 15 Intel Pentium Dual Core T4300 2.1 GHz

Hi,

Looking to buy a laptop and have to say I don't have a clue. We only really need to use it for surfing, storing photos, email, webcaming (skype), maybe downloading music. There seems to be options available to upgrade the processor - I assume this is down to how effecient it will run - do I need to upgrade (hope not). Also I would like to purchase a wireless printer but which will accept memory cards (for the camera) - what would you recommend. Please keep things simple for me.

I have found the Dell Studio 15 Intel Pentium Dual Core T4300 2.1 GHz for £429.00 - is this a good purchase.

For the money, its looks OK. But I'm sure there will be better deals, you just have to keep an eye out.

Out of interest what make/model No. is this?

Dell Inspiron 1545 by any chance?

Sounds about average, certainly not a bad deal.

Why do all sub-£6/700 laptops come with such terrible resolutions these days? 1366x768 is basically a widescreen version of 1024x768... its madness. Such a backward step :@
