    Dell Warranty Policy

    So my hard disk failed. Called dell, said I was technically able so could replace it myself. They asked to return the old hard disk. My only concern is if someone extracts data like documents etc should they be able to make it work. Is this normal policy?

    Had the same problem, told them I was still backing up files so never returned the old one

    Did they mention you had 5 working days to do it in?

    Yes, but as they are asking you to do their job for them by repairing it yourself they can hardly complain
