    desiccant dehumidifier

Posted a request earlier regarding dehumidifier I am after. I not been told to get a desiccant dehumidifier so I'm confused now. I want it for under my stairs in the kitchen because the cold wall builds up in condensation resulting in mould. Just want to keep it dried out if possible without spending a lot on one

is there a question buried in there somewhere?

ok il tell u to get a dessicant one are u happy know if no one else's has told u yet. joking aside yes a dessicant will be better off for u then the others as it still works well under lower temperatures aldi and lidl had some in at reduced prices check in ur local ones u maybe lucky and get one off there around half price 59/60 quid which would be adequate for a 3/4 bedroom house.

If you're suffering from mould, a desiccant dehumidifier won't be enough.

I have a Dimplex Forte dehumidifier at home, which I purchased from Argos around 5 years ago for £130. I very highly recommend it. While I don't suffer from mould, it's great for drying my clothes indoors when it's sat next to my clothes horse.

An ecoair dd122 is what I would recommend

What's the power consumption on this then as can't see it. Also what will be the difference from a normal dehumidifier to dessicant ones.

Use slot of power compared to the standard dehumidifier

I haven't cheked it properly must be the other one then it looked very compact so I assumed it was a dessicant one maybe that's why it's gone half price and still around.

ps the rechargeable ones are on for offer if u want get that not sure how good rechargeable ones will be but at 20 quid it seems worth a punt
