    Desktop Computer

    Hi all first post!

Im looking to purchase a desktop computer.

Im a student first, poker player second. So im looking for something with a big monitor so I can play lots of tables, and decent memory to back this up. All other specifications are not important really. The most I could spend would be around £400.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thanx

That 20" monitor has a lower than normal 1600x900 resolution, he wants as high a resolution as possible. The 18.5" one is likely to be even worse at just 1366x768.

At your price range you won't be able to afford a 2560x1600 monitor and there's no point in waiting for the 2560x1440 screens either. The best you can afford will be a 1920x1200 or 2048x1152 screen. Entry level models (I guess quality isn't that important) cost around £150-200 and you can probably squeeze a new computer into the remaining £200-250, especially if you wait for a deal to come up.
