Desktop PC approx £400: what's the best?

Hi everyone,

I've been summoned by my good lady to buy a desktop PC for the house. Of course, being the man of the house, I accepted this responsibility with the promise of a an excellent purchase at a staggering price. Without really knowing the truth I confidently assured her that for approximately £400 I'd be able to land a computer faster than Usain Bolt, with more free space than Newcastle United's trophy room, and a graphics card whose picture detail would challenge that of Leonardo da Vinci.

So, for approx £400 (doesn't have to include monitor, keyboard or mouse...I really just want the engine!) does anyone have any recommendations as to the best desktop PC out there?

can't really go wrong with a dell - pick and mix the spec till you get what you want.

go to configure.euro.dell.com/del…bsd
decent spec, but you can upgrade to:
Intel® Pentium™ Dual-Core E5200
500GB (7200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
256MB ATI® Radeon™ HD 3450
for around £400 (it won't let me go any further, so don't know the exact price!)
