    Desktop PC case and motherboard

Can anyone recommend a good PC case and motherboard? (separately)

I'm looking for a normal sized case (ATX?) not a mini, and a normal sized motherboard.

I heard that Corsair cases are apparently not that great at the moment.

I need an AM4 motherboard for my A10 APU.

The cheapest motherboard I could find was around £74 and there is load of cases to choose from.

My budget for the case is £80, but the cheaper the better and I don't think I will get an AM4 motherboard much cheaper, so my budget for that is also £80.

Let me know if I've missed out any details.

    Thanks in advance.

'Normal' is a bit tricky as a lot of the component market these days if focused on gaming systems that need to be extra-large to cope with the very power hungry nature of current graphics cards.

If your idea of normal is the same as a off-the-shelf desktop then you are actually looking at something small by the standards of the case market.

Motherboard sizes are ATX for seven expansion slots, MicroATX for four expansion slots, Mini ITX for one expansion slot and STX for none. MicroATX is the most popular in pre-built systems, but Mini-ITX and ATX are more popular in custom systems.

Is it an A10-9700 from a pre-built system? All of the A10s currently on sale separately are Socket FM2+, not Socket AM4.

On case front the Antec P100 that can be had for £69 is a fairly well made case with some nice features, noise damping and getting good feedback.

The Zalman Z9 Neo is a great case and because it has no hard drive cage where the GPU goes, you don't need to worry about size issues. It has every feature you will want and can get it for under £60 if you shop around.
