    desktop virtualisation or VDI

Can someone please recommend a book or something that provides an introduction to desktop virtualisation or VDI.
A dummies guide kind of level.

Theres not really a dunmies guide, are you looking to get into vmware horizon type vdi? Or vm software such as vmware workstation or hyperv

Look at youtube but its not really a dummies type thing.

If you are going the VMWare, you need an understanding of how vSphere etc works, before you even look at horizon.

The CBT nuggets course is worth a watch on horizon, or attend the offical Horizon 6.x or 7.x training course, which to be honest is basically an overview of the product.

More around the basics, with hopefully examples of the offerings from Citrix, VMware and Microsoft.
    Not going deep at all.

I would google youtube videos on each ones sales pitch.

It all comes down to cost and support in the end, and its a fast evolving market.

Its going to all end up as SaaS (software as a service) with the desktops in the cloud.
