This is probably the best value at the moment as it has a Li-ion battery. I would never buy a digital camera with batteries again. I know its £20 over budget but it should be over £100.
I have just bought it and am very pleased with it.

    I have a Kodak V1233 12MP and records on HD 720p.

I could give it to you for £60 delivered , let me know

Not sure what the problem is with AA batteries, as long as you get a couple of sets of decent rechargeables (Hybid ones such as Eneloop are best) then you'll be fine. I get about 400-500 shots from my Canon powershot on each set of batteries and know that in the worst case scenario of batteries running out I can always buy some disposable ones and turn off the screen for a bit.

Wouldn't be too bothered about 10MP if I were you, 6 is more than enough for all but the biggest printouts.

EDIT: Also, is it for a present or for yourself. You could always look for a refurb if it's for yourself (or an unfussy recipient) Fuji have a shop for refurbished cameras in your price range and Canon have one on ebay (google canon outlet to find it). You may find something there.

Whatever you do don't be tempted by a cheap dodgy brand camera that looks too good to be true, a lower specced camera by a decent brand will be 100 times better.

yes, I got the Argos camera too (posted above) and it is a briliant camera for the price

It is £20 more though and that is a lot of money when you have a low budget but i prefer the samsung to my old camera because it fits into a small pocket. my other camera is a kodak that is a couple of years old, it cost about £200 and is really bulky, a pain on a night out or when you have a lot to carry, so i recommend getting a small one if possible!!

Got the reusables but they are a pain in the bum. Just been to Florida and you can imagine how many pics we took. Batteries are ok if not using the flash. Will give those yoU recommended a try though . THANKS
