Digital-switch.com - I've just seen a too good to be true bargain on there, why is that?

Is there something I'm missing? Is it a known scam site? I've never heard of it before...

Thanks guys. Still, the TVs are stupidly priced. Site looks familiar... credit card would be covered right? I've got a 42" and a 25" sitting in my basket for £250. I know it's too good to be true, but I'm still tempted. Silly I know.

Oh dear, I always wondered who the stupid people were who got scammed by this type of site......

You know its a scam, everyone is saying its a scam, but still you want to give them your details

Then why ask other than to try and get others to be scammed along with you. Spamming this thread.

Mmm, seems that all the review sites plus the threads over at MSE have been pulled. It's probably not worth the hassle doing the chargeback.

I ask because I don't know! I've no tposted it under deals, I'm not trying to get anyone scammed, and I'm only asking to find out if anyone has used it or has any genuine knowledge. I've found one post on MSE saying they had theirs delivered yesterday and something about sales tax... but lots are saying they'd avoid it, so I think I will too. Certainly not trying to scam anyone.

That's my thoughts now. Why would they pulle the posts? Surely lots of people saying it looks scamish would be more helpful than hiding them so no-one has any idea?

Because the discussion was spammed to kingdom come by the fraudsters so they deleted it. Anybody saying that this works is part of the scam. Read the posts at the new MSE discussion:

It won't be worth the hassle.

Scammers. I did a dummy checkout and they want paying via bank transfer to a spanish account.

Just a thought - if everyone knows it's a scam, why isn't it shut down? Is there a proper way to report it, or does it just not happen? I know it would spring up again somewhere else under a different name, but lots of people are pretty quick to spot them, so why can't the sites themselves be blocked/deleted?

And while you are about it give Digital Buzz a wide berth. They are also fraudsters. I have reported DB to the Action Fraud website, also to PayPoint, UKASH, Google and The Guardian- I suggest you do likewise. And good luck.

There is one born every minute.

I cannot believe anybody would be so stupid to even consider dealing with this kind of scam site.

    Oh well.

Shut down by whom? Reported to whom?

The internet isn't a rigourously policed market place. Its more like a street market in China...
