I have just realised that the digital switchover starts in October and that Cumbria will be the first area. This has got me in a panic as I don't have any digital ready tvs and although I have a freeview box that worked at my last address, it doesn't at this one!!! My communnal aeriel is too weak as I live in a block of council flats! I bought a Indoor Amplified Antenna that was up to 40dB from Maplin but it only picked up BBC1 channels and even then the signal was too weak to get anything!!! :-(

What do I do? :? Do I go to the expense of getting a new digital tv or is there any other way round this problem? I have thought about getting SKY but that ties me to a contract and I am looking to move at short notice within the next year or so. On benefits so money is scarce!!

Would appreciate any advice from others who may be in the same boat
