    DINOSAUR MUSUEMS. WHERE?

I'm looking to take my 3 year old to a dinosaur musuem, but i have no idea where there is one.

Preferbly as near to the west midlands as possible,we dont mind travelling a bit, but we dont want to go as far as London. Probabaly an hours drive or so max.

I have tried looking on the internet, but as usual directs you to something completely different you want or the wrong areas!

    Anyone have an ideas? Thanks!

There's a sort of dinosaur display at Drayton Manor. Some full size ones.

Zoo and theme park too, perfect for kids if you haven't been before.

This has some dinsaur stuff but is mainly fossils. SLightly more ross geller than steven spielberg.......

Take a holiday to the Isle of Wight, it is said to be THE dinosaur place to go in Europe. There's a few special dinosaur museums and many activities for children.

Make a real holiday out of it this summer and it's lovely over there. It seems to always have it's own mini-climate and is warmer and sunnier than Mainland England.

    Go to Google maps...

    Put in your postcode...

Search for dinosaur or other related words in the area...

There is a really good one (where you can touch pretty much anything) in Oxford (it's called Natural History Museum)

Do you own a hotel or a B&B on the island?

Lyme Regis is the Jurasic coastline and was recently in the news for the recent landslip revealing millions of years of fossils...

The natural history or science museum in Birmingham city centre used to be really good, haven't been for a few years though

I went to one in Dorchester a few years ago, it was quite good then, when my kids were 7 & 8. There is also a dinosaur walk at a leisure park near Tenby in South Wales if you fancied going further afield.

I had heard someone mention that actually but i couldnt get much information off the internet about it. Do you remember if it was a large section of dinasaurs? Is it dinosaur figures do you know or just the fossils?

My 3 year old prob wouldnt understand the fossils bit, so i need to double check - thanks!
