    good post

I'd noticed the absurd fees on a few of the adverts and wondered how abolishing directory enquiries has actually increases competition beneficial to the consumer?

No wonder them bloody ads are on all the time, they must be raking it in.
as Davewave said, Good post Thanks

who uses this?. Total rip off. We still get the Yellow pages and phone book although its a very
    small this days.

Wow, that seems well excessive. oO

I always thought that they charge a flat fee to give you the number and then another flat fee if you are too lazy to dial it yourself - that per minute thing is new to me.

Disgusting greedy companies , i wish the government would do something about this , it's just targeting the vulnerable and as for that 118 118 advert it's got to be the most irritating thing on TV

wow crazy prices! at one time it cost just 10p

It's daft that there isn't a telecom charter to protect people at risk from excessive phone charges

Prices are clearly quoted. You just say no when they ask if you want to be connected and then dial the given number yourself.

I am stunned, they haven't outlawed them yet?! What kind of extremists and extorsionists in our great people of these lands allow these 118 services to terrorise people's wallets ? As recent last March 2017 , £500 for an inquiry ?!

To be fair if theyre elderly there probably not going to understand or believe theyd be getting charged the amounts for a phone number.a total con

Used to be free until ofcom thought it would be a great idea to allow competition, same as network access charges added to calls

anyone remember at the time BT said our customers want to be charged !!!!
