Disadvantages of really fast Internet? 70mb?

    Any disadvantages?
Like also will it use more electricity and rack up the bill etc? Thinking of 36mb fibre Internet or 70

Only if you pay extra for large amounts of data and have a penchant for downloading lots of films. It certainly wont use any more electricity.

There are no disadvantages. I recommend BT Infinity as they never slow you down. I have the 76MB option and get 80MB download speed.

on three screens all at once !

It does not use anymore electricity than a standard ADSL broadband connection would.

Infact it could actually save you money/electricity, as your downloads would be done quicker, so you could turn the devices off earlier. HTH.

depends on if you're going to use the extra speed. If you're running older tech then you might not see the benefits, i.e. slow wifi devices. 5Ghz wifi n devices will use the extra speed, wifi n 2.4ghz just isn't going to cut it.

I get an impressive 2mb/s download speed. Oh the joys of living in the countryside. X)

I'm currently with BT my current package is unlimited internet and unlimited phone calls all in £33 per month any idead how much extra i would pay to upgrade to Infinity 2.

80MB/s?! Wow that is the quickest i've seen.

See, I'm with Virgin and get a paltry 152Mb/s.

MB and Mb aren't interchangeable guys!

80MBs is the equivalent of 640 Mbps!
