    Discounted console from CEX

Has anybody bought a 'Discounted' console from CEX before? There are boxed versions, unboxed and discounted versions of the 3DS XL. It is for my 9-year-old son and I haven't really got much money spare now as I have just bought him the Pokemon 3DS Sun game for Christmas. He already has a DS Lite which I was hoping to trade in for £26. I'm just wondering if the discounted consoles are in really bad condition - lots of scratches, etc - can anybody let me know if they have actually bought one and what condition it was in, please? I just don't want to buy one on-line to get it and find that you can hardly see the screen images due to it being really scratched. Thank you.

I got a discounted psp go. It only had one scratch but it was on the screen. Seems the staff didn't notice it had a screen protector on so I just removed it and it was perfect under. Pot luck really all depends on the user which traded it in and how scummy they may have been

Do you have a cex near you?
Best bet to make your money go further is to buy some vouchers for cex from here for 80% off.

You can then use them in store and see the console that you're buying.

If you do buy online you can also return it if it's in bad condition.

Everyone varies. Might just be say one really bad scratch or say loads of marks.

Thank you for your advice - I think that I will go in and take a look. One last thing, on-line, it says that it will pay me a voucher for £26 for my son's DS Lite (no scratches and in very good condition). Can I get a voucher in the store for it instead, also, will they pay the price stated on the website or try to offer me a lower priced voucher? Thank you.

In store and online are usually the same as its all from one price guide

As long as the price doesn't change they will pay you the same as the online price, cash or voucher, whatever you request.
