    Diverting mobile calls.

Long story, but I need a contract phone so I can port a number to it and divert all calls from that number to my 'new' number. Sounds easy enough but the PAC is a 3 network one. I know that Orange and T-Mobile charge for diverting calls.
Do Virgin, O2 or Vodaphone charge for diverting calls?
    Ideas please.

Charge for diverting? Never heard of that, only ever done it on my O2 and I have never been charged

    Personally I'd recommend T-Mobile Flex-T 35 12month free cashback deal as that'll give you the most minutes @ 600mins/1200sms a month

Tmobile charge for diverting because I recently cancelled my divert because of the charge.

    What were you charged?

I had never heard of charging either until I got a whopping Orange bill for diverting calls to a 3 mobile.
I know that T-Mobile charge because it shows on the monthly bill, but that is only the occasional divert to a Home number. The Orange was a permanent divert.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm amazed they charge at all really, the divert is 100% internal to the network, when you set it up on your phone, you're uploading the number and specific settings and they take care of it, I always assumed it was just taken out of any inclusive minutes if there.

In this day and age it's amazing they have the audacity to do that.

.I was charged 78p ex vat for 2 diverted calls...9 mins in total..so maybe they charge 10 p a minute..not certain...anyway I didn't rally require the service so cancelled...the divert was to my landline

you get charged for the cost of calling the number you divert to as if you were calling it from your mobile and had no free minutes.
such as 35p x network ect

Just to clarify I had loads of my monthly minute quota unused but was charged by tmobile who advised that this was not included in the monthly minutes.

Yep, really annoying. I divert my work's mobile from my car to my personal mobile so i don't have to carry 2 phones about me if i'm at a job. Every call incurs a cost on my work mobile as it charges for "calling" my personal mobile :?
