    Dixons Tax Free Allowance

Hi, I'm hoping someone can clarify this for me...

I've been looking at the Macbook's on the Dixons Tax Free website as I'm travelling from gatwick to New York in November.

Due to going out of the E.U. I have a £145 allowance for goods coming back into the country and this apparently applies to anything bought at customs in the UK.

However Dixons state you can pick up your goods on your return to the country. Does this mean I will still have to pay duty on anything I buy when i pick it up from the airport?

If you do still have to pay duty, then there's no point buying anything expensive from Dixons Tax free if you're travelling outside the EU... right?

    Thanks.
