Do any of you have any regrets about your school days or would you like to go back?

Just a question, as I'm sure you all know, i'm still at school, just wondered what your thoughts were on this subject above?

haha.. not regrets as such.. just should i or shouldnt i things..
but i never wants to go back. nooo, what is done suits me.

Just that I should have appreciated them more...

would love to go back knowing what I know now.....as the bl**dy careers advisor has a lot to answer for :whistling:

i regret getting drunk instaed of retyping ONE essay and adding a paragraph that was the difference between me getting the equivalant of four a-levles and the two alevels. Btec nationals at college.

not that it matters anyway cos im a women so in my mind a womens job in to look after kids, husband and house. but i feel like my other half would realise im not stupid and that I CHOOSE to be a mum, but i could've have just as easily chosen to be a career women.

id go back and finish the essay and just get drunk few hours later instead.

oooo sorry, thought it was still fairly relevent. not uni. college, hense equivalent to A-Levels.

but really HAS to be school, then yeah i also regret not handing in my course work to a standard i could easily had done, as brought my GCSE's down to grade's B's and C's and was supposed to get A*'s throughout. not one A cos was too lazy to do the course work till the week of deadline (two years worth)

And regret not attending six form and just bunking off all time, regret falling asleep in german AS Level exams too, 4u's what a waste of a year!!

happy?:whistling:

biggest regret bout later school, yr 10 and 11, has to be not enjoying my friends more, and putting ALL my focus into my boyfriend. no offence to him but we both gone our seperate ways since and missed out on alot because we were so "in love", that we didnt enjoy our friends, and didnt boher with our education either

I didn't have a very good upbringing and it did affect my school work. I would block out everything by going out with my friends and hanging around with boys i shouldn't of been! Its easy to say now when looking back but we learn from our mistakes. I went back to college and redid the G.C.S.Es i didn't get and ended up doing a diploma at College.

Same here, we were together for 18 months and he was all i was interested in, not healthy at all but at the time i was 'in love'. Men are replaceable but friends are there forever

you thirteen??

thirteen when you pick your OPTIONS for GCSE's right??

dont pick things based on what ur friends pick. dont pick based on what your parents say either. discuss with your teachers. parents want whats best for you but they arent the people that know how you are at school. teachers can tell if u can handle that subject at GCSE level, cos though you may be good at coursework for a subject it could work out worse if its based mainly on test. i was fine with tests, all A's in tests, top two for science modules etc. but i picked subjects with 60% etc. coursework and i dont do it, so i brought all my grades down. focus on subjects your good at but focus also at your strengths i.e. tests or coursework.

assume it all work pretty much the same as when we were at school?

Was way to a goody two shoes..should have rebelled a bit more

Glad it worked out for you in the end, its tough making decisions when you are young, especially when it could affect your whole future.

I know! :-(

id never wanna go back to primary school worst time of my life (ruined by bullies)
never really came out of my shell till i left secondary school when i learnt to stick up for myself and not let people walk all over me, so i guess id like to go back but being the person i have become not what i once was x

Chin up. No offense but it is harder for boys as us girls tend to mature a bit quicker. Just do what you think is best for you, i found it very hard. It will all work out in the end, i know it may not be cool but have a chat with your folks, they may help.

:)..thanks

I have very little regrets regarding school however I am keeping a closer eye on my daughters final year, more than my mum did to me. I will ensure my daughter does her coursework, homework and studys. My mum just took my word for it, that i had done it. When infact I hadnt. I was up all night on the CB ( remember those)

My daugter doesnt have a hope in hell of pulling the wool over my eyes!

I did have one regret which was a major crush I had all the way through 4th and 5th year but never dared say anything to him.

He added me on facebook a couple of weeks ago, mentioned how much I had changed (I was very shy and plain) and had he known I was gonna turn out like this he would have asked me out back then

Put a smile on my face - result :-D

I regret not having sex, wish I'd started earlier than I did (Age I tell everyone 17, actual age 21) ;-)

I didnt hate school though I thought I did, I just had bad bullying and hated being treated like the mess on someones shoe just because I was from a council estate and family on benefits whilst the kids from better familys who werent as smart got huge moral and actual support and praised even when they failed tests, exams and if they bullied anyone the person they bullied was accused of starting it.

I missed the simple life though, having everything done for me and watching kids tv so its more my teen years I miss.

I wish very much that my big brother had been at the same school as me to look after me and stop people picking on me.
