Do CEX (online) accept rental DVDs

Hi, I want to sell some dvds to CEX (online) as i went into my local Cex yesterday (lunch time) and they say they can no longer buy DVDs.... (Most of the DVDs I want to sell CEX are the retail versions, but 2 are ex-rentals)

I have never sold an ex-rental DVD to CEX before, but I have seen they sell them in the store & have bought a few DVDs from online CEX before & they were ex-rentals.

So before I pay the postage, I wanted to check, I tried to ring CEX yesterday but it goes to voicemail (I would email, but it usually takes weeks for them to reply) and i want to send the dvds for asap, so the price don't drop as they are around £6 cash each as they are new releases.
    Thank-you in advance

I don't know the answer to your specific question, but maybe have a read through this? hotukdeals.com/ite…-c/

Many of the stores are not paying out cash for anything atm. There have also been reports of non-payments of cheques etc. Tbh, I think you'd be mad to send them anything by post until the situation is clarified. We might even find CEX doesn't exist very soon...

I didn't actually want cash, as I found some films to exchange them for (which i bought them to the till) but they just said they aren't taking anyone DVDs (not even for exchange)

I have a quite large CEX online exchange voucher, do you know can you spend them in CEX stores (as if they are in trouble) I want to use it, & I don't want to use it online (ie pay them the money by debit card & then send in my voucher) - I would feel scared they won't refund my debit card.

Yes you can spend them instore..........i'd get on it quick just in case.

Again, I don't know the answer to your question - sorry. Hopefully someone else can help. But if I were in your position, I'd make my way to a store and try to spend them, and I wouldn't do anything online or by post with them. But this may still not be as serious as it looks (rumours spead easily, right?), but my best guess based on everything I've read/seen is that they are in trouble.

EDIT: Good, Syzable has answered your question

Thank-you both, I used up my voucher this morning, it was a good job i had today off, as the queue took ages!!!!

I feel loads better that I used it up!!!!!! But i wish I had got the money instead of a voucher in the first place (but i guess we learn from our mistakes) as the items I bought, I just bought from the sake of it

Hi, one more question, do Cex (stores) normally have money on a Sunday morning - if you want to sell them some goods for cash. Or have they used it all on Saturday.

    Thank-you in advance
