Do Curry's do a price match?

I have seen a TV in Curry's for £239.99 but Dixons have it for £214.99.

    Will they mach that price?

    Thanks.

    WHY
Currys is part of Dixons group goods should be same price. unless your online shopping.

DSG international is one of Europe's leading specialist electrical retailing groups. Our retail and e-tail brands include PC World, Currys and Dixons.co.uk in the UK and Ireland, Elkjøp in the Nordic countries, UniEuro in Italy, Kotsovolos in Greece, Electro World in Central Europe, Greece and Turkey, PC City in Spain, Italy and Sweden, and Pixmania.com across Europe.

The three stores local to me say the same thing, they dont price match with dixons!

I was told at the weekend that Currys match large shops in a 10 mile radius!!!
No use to me when I was trying to buy a fridge freezer. Also, if you buy from Currys, make sure you can pick up in store, I found out that the fridge freezers were delivery only, which adds 10 to 20 pounds to the price on show!! I bought from Dixons in the end.

My local curry's told me it's only places within 10 miles and only if the item is in stock.

Cheers for your help guys, I will see what they say when I go in.

    Thanks.

might be something for ya there.........

Try John Lewis first, worth it in the long run

Depends on the Currys, our Currys is really good as we are in a small town they price match Dixons and Currys online, and the nearest town 15 miles away, good business sence from the manager me thinks.

I rang up Currys to find out about the same thing, the guy said they don't even price match Currys, which confused me somewhat, but he meant Currys.co.uk and in store.

He said they won't price match Dixons anyway as it's web based

just cos DSGi owns the Dixons and Currys brand names doesnt mean they are the same shop.

they are run as 2 separate businesses.

Currys and PC world will not match an online only retailer. even if its Dixons who belong to the same parent group.
HMV online prices are cheaper than stores but they won't mach their net prices.

Currys will match and give 10% of the difference on an item that is instock only in a high street store, including independent stores.

we can't even match our online site for free delivery options!

Yes they do match, its store dependant, dont have problems in my local Currys

officially they don't match an online retailer.

it may be dependent on on margin made on the product, other services/products bought and the store's current overall discount level at the time of sale.

I know we definitely won't do it at our store.

Like i say our Currys is in a small town so the manager seems to treat locals pretty well , probably not important in a large town or city i guess, got a few things matched no problem, which saves me a 30 mile round trip and he gets money in his till.

I think you live is the same small town as me, something you put the other day

i work in a small town one too, but we also have sunderland-2 stores there, metro centre, newcastle-2 stores there, team valley-2 superstores (PCW and Currys)

So usually if someone wants a price match THAT badly, they'll target a large store which has more discount to play with.
