Do i have to activate John Lewis tv guarantee

So i brought a tv from john lewis that came with a 5 year guarantee included. I was wondering do i have to activate the guarantee or anything or when something happens to my tv do i just email them or ring them up with my receipt. Sorry if its a silly question never brought from them before help would be much appreciated!

just to add its a Samsung TV if that helps at all?!
