Do parceforce 48 defer to a local post office/sorting office if you're not about?

Cant see anything on their website - just wondering, as i wont be in. i know you can have it rearranged to a sorting office.. but was hoping it would go straight there after here...

    anyone know?

I was out when parcel force tried to deliver, they left my parcel at the little post office down the road from me and they charged me £1 to pick it up!

The ones who deliever to me used to leave it with a neighbour but have noticed they don't tend to do that any more. Wonder if they've been told not to? I have to go to sorting office now, last card sais it would be ready for collection after 3 hours.

I have mised a few parcels from them, always taken them to local post office but never had to pay to collect them

I had to pay once but that was because I'd asked for parcell to be delivered to my local post office instead of sorting office. Think it was only 50p though.

One thing to remember is that they don't leave large parcels at post offices.

It'll be either you local post office or the Parcelforce depot.
