No more than posting on a deal site i'd imagine.

Maybe they're just more tolerant of others.....

I'd rather meet a dumb, pleasant soap watcher, than an unpleasant internet smart-ass.......horses for courses really......just because people watch soaps doesn't make them dumb (unless they believe they're watching real life)

Indiscriminate tolerance is overrated.

no different then spending hours on your chosen games console, each to their own.

That must be the most ridiculous question everrrrr.

Hmmm I can be pretty dumb yet I don't watch soaps..... now Jeremy Kyle well thats a different story

Most videogames are better written, better acted and have a defined END. Soaps are, by their very nature, never-ending. They aren't like plays, films or games.

In fact their closest equivalent is a comfort blanket, or a dummy.

I'm going to say it isn't and I could cite many examples from this place that are far worse, like 'what do I tell my friend who thinks her house is haunted?', or 'what should I wipe by backside with?', or 'How do I tell left from right?'

Only one of those isn't real - guess which one.

its the egg sorry to disappoint, because chickens evolved from a previous egg species meaning the egg was always going to be there before the chicken :P

jesus, get this guy a wig and gown, talk about judgemental.

Don't rise to it,that's what he wants.

I would say no,

perhaps people who you may class as not 'intelligent' (careful use of that word) might be drawn to it as it doesn't take much watching, or reminds them that their life isn't as bad as the ones on TV, however I don't think that your 'intelligence' decreases while watching them
