The USB freeview dongles are let down by the small arial but even when I used the cable from the roof arial I could net recieve all the channels.

I sent mine back to amazon for a full refund.

I haven't got one myself but a couple of my friends have them. They say they are much more useful as they save space.

Pretty good if you can get the right one with good reception.

I use a dual tuner DTT USB stick (with a Mac though) and find it very useful and picks up the channels well (with a decent rooftop aerial). The stick's signal is picked up off the back of a DVB set top box so as not to affect the signal strength/quality on the main set.

The multichannel recording facility (2 multiplexes at once so can be lots of channels) is great especially now that Virgin Media's programme guide is so poor (cannot schedule programmes any later than today).

I've got a Freecom USB DVB-t stick, Very good, Picks up all channels using the roof aerial, The little portable aerial supplied is pointless though.

i dont understand you need to use the roof aerial cable then or does it do it wirelessly.
