Do you have a favourite child? (Parents only, not paedo's)

For you parents/carers, do you have a favourite?
I am not asking whether you would favour one over the other, just whether deep down one of your kids is more special than the other.

The reason I ask, is because I only have one whom I don't particuarly like, and I am thinking that if I could trick some woman into having another with me, I might have one that's worse than the current one, and he wouldn't seem as bad then.

This in itself leads to more problems. I haven't really thought this one through...

Just imagine you are Jade Goody's parent.

Was this the one that blocked you from his PS3 friends list?

The Saint must be laughing at the ease of the nibble on here tonight.

This is why i wont have anymore....incase i don't like them as much!

i have a favourite but then i only have one child......

I reckon most kids have a favourite parent.

The reason I ask, is because I only have one whom I don't particuarly like

awwww

?????????????

I dont think parents or kids always like each other...

Yeah I've got a favourite, it's my first born...well he is an ONLY child lol

They are all my favourite. At least they think they are. So long as they don't get together and speak about it, I'm safe.

My middle one is the most forgiving and loving, easy going child.
Eldest is bossy boots big style
Youngest is just into everything he shouldnt be and still going through terrible 2's

Meaning at the moment my middle child is the easiest and nicest to deal and live with at the moment. Doesn't means she is my favourite though.

Love all 3 loonies just the same, They just go through good and bad phases.

A comprehensive series of mental and physical tests helped me decide my favourite. Its like a 'Kiddy Krypton Factor'

Very effective.

I love them both the same, but i must admit i rather do different things with different kids. With my girl we are very close and we spend alot of time doing girly things but my boy is more cuddly and happy to do anything with me where as my girl isnt. I wouldnt ever pick as i cant.
I love both my beautiful babys

My eldest is a nightmare pre-teen, shes stroppy, huffy hormonal and has a talent for slamming doors. However shes the one I have girly nights with, we play on the wii, watch disney films and eat chocolate.
My middle child is severely disabled. I spent 3 months living at the hospital with him, away from hubby and my eldest daughter. I have to do everything for him, from nappy changes to feeding. Every day he amazes me with what he's learning, or how he responds to other people, or how happy he gets for the slightest thing, and makes me realise how proud I am to be his mum.
My youngest is a very shy, and often mardy 4 year old, who is so loving and affectionate, with a great sense of humour.
All kids have irritating habits, if we're lucky they have many redeeming qualities also!

Wow, these sound like my kids exactly, except mine are all boys and probably a lot older than yours

Had some conversations with parents of adult children recently, who have said that whilst they love their kids to death blah blah, if they had their time again they wouldn't have had them due to the expense, hassle and stress etc.

I will throw my hat in the ring on this one...I have 2 kids who i love dearly and will protect them both fiercely. However, i have to confess to frequently being at loggerheads with and not always 'liking' my eldest child (daughter). From those who have felt brave enough to voice an opinion to me, it appears it is because we are too similar. So, as she is not the devil incarnate or bad, maybe i just need to look into my 'soul' mirror more often . Our childrens core natures are , after all, a reflection of us.

I think it's very sad if people do feel like that. Kids are the best thing in the world, mire important than work, money or anything else

I dont think its sad, if anything very honest and brave of them to say.

If my house catches fire & I can only save two things, I'd save my PS3...and one of the twins.

I have a 16 Year old girl & a 15 month old girl & at this present moment the 16 Year old is a devil & does nothing but give cheek. The 15 month old is full of fun & makes my day,but I still love the both them & would not favour 1 over the other. The wee one rules the house just now,but I'm sure that is the same in every household.

I have a 10 YR old daughter and 6 yr old son ,and can honestly say i love them both equally and also as they are both totally different in there personalities they BOTH get equal amounts of love, maybe in different ways sometimes , but i am proud to say i have two very secure and much loved kids

I think your question leads us to another, more important one......would any woman be stupid enough to allow you to father their child? You may have struck lucky once, don't count on it happening again

No mother should favour one child over the other.I have a little girl and when pregnant with my boy i was worried that i wouldn't love him like her.Of course that changed as soon as i saw him.
It would make me sad to think some people favour one child over another or love one more. I love both my angels billions ..... xxx AND TREAT THEM EQUAL!

I hope no one gets upset by reading this, but its very interesting and beneficial.

7 yr old is so innoccent but can be so dizzy!

4 yr old is a cheeky stubborn one who gets his way

Why is it interesting to read you need to treat your sons equally. Don't girls fit in there somewhere? Sounds warped to me and more so that you want to highlight and promote it!
