Do you think Tesco know about HUKD.....mmm see their terms.lol...

Just checking terms and conditions for using ecoupons, this made me chuckle

eCoupons distributed or circulated without the written approval of Tesco, for example on an Internet message board or on a "bargains" website, are not valid for use and may be refused or cancelled

    A bargain website..mmm.lol....could it be??

yep, think they probably had HUKD in mind :whistling:

damn theyve cottoned on to us!!!

    oh yes (for sure)

So then using the expressio unius exclusion alterius rule, if it isn't a message board or a "bargains" website it's ok to use? How about a vouchers website? (without a forum and specifically stating it is not a bargains website).
    Who wants to set up
]notabargain.com ? then copy all tesco codes onto it & keep it updated just to circumvent their terms and conditions.

Surely by putting "for example" first, then the statement "on an Internet message board or on a "bargains" website" is simply illustrative, not exclusionary?

So will they just not honour them, or will they take further action and close accounts or something?

Apparently, they will phone and give you the chance to cancel etc, before order is sent out :?

It's not only HUKD, there is PTS and MSE as well as they both have specific sections and/or threads just for the Tesco ecodes, are they 'bargain websites,?

More likely to be MSE - it is full of those coupon pikies and if you even suggest that you are against the idea on principle you get flamed to death.

Yeh well all yr now,it's not been great for Tesco vouchers,a few times I've shopped there and been no code for anything points or money off,I prefer bonus pts but money off will do.
They getting suss to it all, like Sainsburys did.

    Fame at last!!!

Nope - express mention of one thing excludes mention of another except where the term is finished with a "or other such x" - they didn't use a "list phrase" at the end so the term would be construed in a very narrow term, hence it will be fairly ineffective.

Just cancel and say you'll use Sainsburys instead. They woon't want to lose your custom and they still make good money from the orders.

That doesn't make sense to me. By using the term e.g. (exempli gratia, 'for sake of an example'), they are specifically stating that this is just one example of many. So they are not excluding anything from the statement.

But then a lot of things don't make sense to me.
