    Bothered?

    I've given a valid reason.

Quit whinging. It went out of stock. Stop crying and move on in life.

    Pathetic

Thread shows a lack of maturity from op

Making a mountain out of a molehill as his toys are out of stock

I guarantee the supervisor you spoke to was laughing at you as you were ranting

Would be better using then energy that it took to create this thread to finding a girlfriend.

    inb4 complete truth. Oh wait!

OP whinges and moans in every post he makes, then comes up with pathetic rubbish like this. Like the supervisor, I'm laughing at him right now too.

Don't forget telling people to ignore mods...then having no balls to do it when asb told him that if he respammed fs/ft he would be banned from there

In b4 mods don't delete these posts as they despise him as much as normal members

OP, I've got absolutely no idea what you're on about...

The point people are missing is that it's not the fact that items go out of stock that is the problem, it's the fact that Play don't tell customers they are out of stock at the point of ordering. They just leave them hanging on "awaiting stock" when they know they won't get any more in.

This means that people miss out on other deals that are available because they don't know they won't be getting their first choice.

This is standard procedure for Play, they advertise an item at a knock-down price as they've only 4-5 left, take 20-30 orders then just leave it holding “awaiting stock” indefinitely.

This caused me to miss out on the 9800GT I would have bought instead of the 250 GTS, which at the time was still available.

Plenty of other companies have real time stock availability on their websites so this is just very poor customer service.

Yorks... We're not missing the point, but I think you are missing the point that dcx spends his workless days sitting on shopping forums being a total ****, so I'm actually really please play have taken the **** out of him.

It's hard to give a damn considering what he is like the rest of the time.

As for the stock thing... everyone knows thats what they do, its poor, but probably down to a stupid computer system than anything else. Next time you'll know.

Oh and a couple of times "deals" have been out of stock, then come back in, as other orders and payments get rejected etc

I share the sentiments of the OP, vibeone you're talking rubbish, you dictate to us what the op does simply on the fact he's complaining within reason that he's missed out on a deal which when purchased in stock and then they've just left it as "awaiting stock" - regardless of what you may think that is poor service.

If it's a known issue and the item is out of stock it's up to play.com to contact their customers at their earliest possible opportunity, as they are well aware of the nature of the internet and their business in general, if a clearance item is going to be sold, they should only sell the amounts to which they can supply, simple.

No, you are wrong, I don't care if he's complaining within reason or not - I'm saying I'm glad its happened to him because he is a complete **** to many people on this forum. I enjoy hearing about bad things happening to him, since its only what he deserves.

    That is all.

Ok, I've had a massive argument with Play regarding this awaiting stock … Ok, I've had a massive argument with Play regarding this awaiting stock business, they say they will not get more stock, and it's first come first serve basis, and it went out of stock before mine (please post if you actually get one). I said that it wasn't in stock then and was told well we update the website every now and again. Anyway I raised the issue with a supervisor who offered to forward my complaint but I said I would rather do it myself.Anyway I bought up the following items:Verbatim 1TB USB 2.0 External Desktop Hard Drive £39.99 @ Play < Which I orderedOther affected products:Corsair XMS3 6gb 1333mhz (CL7) ddr3 triple channel kit just £99.99 @ playPNY Geforce GTS 250 / 512MB / PCI Express 2.0 / Graphics Card £43.99 @ Play.ComSamsung Syncmaster P2250 21.5in 1920x1080 Monitor £99.99 @ Play.comFreecom Mobile Drive XXS 320GB External USB2.0 Portable Hard Drive - £29.99 @ Play.comIf people could post if they get a dispatch email and who has awaiting stock that would be great, will also post this over at MSE and when we have a few numbers of if anyone had it dispatched we can complain. Funnily enough they offered me an alternative item at £62 instead of the £39.99 one I ordered.

None of the items on your list are on mine but might be on a list over @MSE

Good to see the complain about people wanting basic service crowd are out. I'm with you dcx. Its a basic service that should be expected. If you have 100 of X item then only allow 100 purchases. If you intend to restock then tell people after the initial 100 about it. If you have no intention to restock then take NO more orders.

Can't believe how many people just brush of things like this. No doubt once it happens to the high rollers they will spit their dummy out and will tell the whole world about it and expect help and back up. Issues like this should be backed by consumers as a whole. Shouldn't be a case of sort it out when it happens but prevent it from happening.
