Does an iPhone 4 bought in US work in UK?

Sure it will work, however what are the implications of doing so? I have an iPhone 3GS now, my dads in the states and a iPhone 4 32GB is $340 - need to confirm if thats unlocked or not though.

I'm on o2. Would simply swapping the sim over work, and would it void or break my contract terms or anything with them?

As long as it's not locked on AT&T etc it's fine.

Coooool :-), very cheap out there compared to here. Just need to sneak it back to the UK. Shouldn't be a problem though.

Put it in your pocket and treat as any other phone.......leave the packaging behind and post it to yourself as then there is no paper trail to show you purchased out there.

Where can you get an iPhone 4 for $340?

You probably have to sign up to a contract with AT&T for that price.

Yeah, it's locked to AT&T. My 63 yr old dad wasn't sure!

You have to sign up to a contract for that price dont you?

You cant buy an iphone in the US without signing up for a 2 year contract with AT&T.

Yep you have to sign up to a contract.

So how were you planning on doing it if you knew?
