Does anyone else have Quidco problems, or is it just me?

I joined Quidco a few months ago and I've noticed that only about a quarter of my transactions have tracked within the average times quoted. Most have taken much longer, and one only tracked after I'd sent an enquiry (but it happened immediately after). Is this what most people find or is it just me?! Also, do most tracked amounts eventually get paid? I haven't really been a member long enough to have much experience of actually being paid.

I am keeping a record of all transactions through Quidco so I can chase them up if necessary, but it's a bit annoying when it's all meant to happen automatically.

If it's sitting there you should have been paid it unless you haven't setup your payment details properly. Go into your account settings and make sure you ask for anything over 1p to be paid and that you are getting it sent straight to your bank account. They now make payments twice a month. If you change any of your payment settings, I think it prevents any payments for 10 days as a security measure.

I wouldn't say MUCH better but they earned a lot of Kudos by paying out when the agent went bust (unlike Quidco) and by not charging a £5 annual fee. If you only want to join one, TCB is the one to join.

Thank you, I have just tried that. It had all my bank details in. And said payment made anything over 0.00. I have changed that to 0.01 see how I get on now. Really annoyed though as i usually use my Tesco clubcard vouchers to get breakdown cover, but thought I would do it through quidco because the cashback made the breakdown cover better value.

Are you sure that the payment is sitting there as received and not just showing as validated? If so, raise a query with Quidco as they should have made payment.

That's a very serious allegation and not consistent with my experiences in dealing with Quidco. I have always found them to be honest and trustworthy. Unfortunately, things do go wrong in the cashback process and it isn't always possible for Quidco to resolve these problems. Where large amounts of cashback are involved, this can lead to anger, frustration and disappointment. However, I do believe that they try to look after our best interests in an honest way. On the other hand, TCB paid customers when Quidco didn't even though they don't charge a management fee. On this basis, they deserve to be more highly regarded and to receive our business first. Even so, I don't think they are immune to the problems faced by Quidco and other cashback providers.

if i remember correctly they claimed vodafone commissions were affected when in fact they had changed from DGM before they went bust.

no its still just sat as validated. But has been since Oct Cant see how they havent paid up yet though.

OK - because it is an insurance product they quite often take 6 - 9 months to go from validated to paid. So long as it has been validated, it will be paid eventually. For non-insurance / contract type products, you can usually expect payment about 3 months after the transaction. For anything involving a contract, it could be anything from 3 - 9 months.

The agent that went bust had failed to pass across a number of Vodafone payments before they went under. In addition, Vodafone were behind in their administration and owed a lot of money to the agent that went bust. Hence, although Vodafone were no longer paying through that agent, there was an impact. It was not Quidco being dishonest. Quidco have admitted that they should have been more on top of the situation and insisted on more prompt payments from the supplier but I don't think it was a question of dishonesty.

If I remember correctly, people who were due payments from contracts they had put through in around March & April were told by Quidco they wouldn't be paid due to DGM going under. However Vodafone had ended its relationship with DGM the previous November or thereabouts, and therefore there's no way voda payments from the following March should have been affected.
I don't know if it was ever sorted out.

quidco is working fine for me

I took 2 Vodafone contracts out in April via Quidco worth £150 each and both were paid. There was some confusion for a couple of days as to whether Vodafone were impacted because they were on the list. However, Quidco quickly cleared up that it only applied to contracts taken out up to November of the previous year (which is when Vodafone had switched from DGM).
