Does anyone have a giant cupcake mould!??

A bit of a long shot maybe.. But I need a recipe for my giant cupcake mould that came this morning!

I assumed it would come with a recipe, but it just tells me to use 2 boxes of mix.. I like to make my own.

Looked online for a few recipes but Id rather someone tell me a recipe they use and know gives good results

    Thanks x

    i saw this,amazing

I saw the JML ones this morning in Wilkinsons and they were £19.99!!!

Just scale up the normal cupcake recipe, say, by a factor of 5. So 200g of flour becomes 1000kg, for example.

Any leftovers can be used to make some small cupcakes.

When i last made one i made 4 times the normal amount as i normally would for a cake, just make sure you dont over fill it and remember to grease with oil not butter if you are using butter in the recipe.

    Thanks

Im sure I spotted a thread about that yesterday (mightve been on MSE), I think in the end people were staying clear because of some kind of hidden fees, membership or something of that kind, I might be wrong though.

I got mine off Fleabay for about £6 I think (the seller had loads)

Thanks, will do that. Just had a nosy and it looks fab, cheers!

And thanks everyone else for your replies too

I have one, the wilton one, it has a recipe on the site, its ideal as it also tells you how far to fill up too in the pan...id also suggest that on the shallower side of the pan(the cake lid) put it in a tin of water in the over whilst its baking

Aw thanks ladies! You're ever so kind.

Nikki the recipe I used for mine is a 6 egg victoria sponge recipe. Will PM you the one I used if you don't have one. One thing I'd say though is put the mixture into the bottom half first and into the oven for about 15 mins first then put the mixture into the top pointy part after that because the bottom takes longer and the top will burn way before the bottom is cooked. You'll need to judge how much to put in the bottom and leave enough for the top though! Its usually about 2 or 3 cms gap from the rim because it will rise. Don't worry if it rises too much when done because you can even it off with a knife before sandwiching them together with jam or buttercream etc.
