    # "It's raining cats and dogs" means it's raining intensely.
    # "I'll give you a piece of my mind" means the speaker will state a frank opinion.
    # "Break a leg" is a saying from theater meaning "Good luck."

    That's American spelling

A chip off the old block - Someone who is like one of their parents.
She's got a bun in the oven - She's pregnant.
To be in the bad books - Someone's cross with you.
Kill two birds with one stone - Get two things done at once.

You got rocks in ya head

Eyes in the back of your head

The correct word for figure of speech is an idiom according to my 10 year old, hey what do I know. lol

break a leg - good luck

actually originates from a theatre superstition in which wishing a person "good luck" is considered bad luck.
