We have been waiting on a flat being made empty buy a stupid tenant, its been about 10 months now for him to get out and he has just signed his last lease at the court for 3 months then he is def out.

He was dealing drugs etc from his flat and was always up to date or most of the time ahead of his rent payments (which made him harder to evict).

What is the process for booting out a tenant buy a landlord?

i know its been at the local courts a few times and we have always been told he's got another 3 months...then he's got another 6 months then we can go in and boot him out (by the bailiffs) etc
Does anyone know the different processes that a landlord has to follow to get someone (that is ahead of his payments) evicted?

i suppose we only have to wait another 2 and half months till we get the flat but i was just curious on how the process worked and why we have had to wait around 10 months for the landlord to finally get him evicted.

i would of just went into his house with a baseball bat :whistling: :whistling: only kidding :giggle:

Go to landlordzone they are best to help.

I think if he was out and you could get in and change locks its ok but dont quote me on that.

Personally i wouldn't want to live there if he's been dealing drugs from it. Never know what smack head you'll get at your door desperate for a fix.

Well In England you can go to the council and have him evicted if you can prove he is dealing, takes about a week and they don't even know what has hit them, brilliant, seen it done as well... no smug faces then :giggle:

nah its scotland, the landlord has had to go by the book and follow all prosedures properly, thats why its taken so long.

Nah its a nice area (he's the only one thats spoilt it) and usually when a dealer moves the buyers usually move with him, he was dealing cannabis.

Meh im in scotland too, its stupid the extra laws we have up here, and duh didnt see the bonny scotland bit in your details lol

Hey ryouga. whereabouts in Ayrshire you from?
I was born & raised in Auchinleck. Mum & sister are still in Cumnock.

Too true about chavs & certainly about the druggies.
There are a couple dealing from a council house 2 blocks down from my mum - won't be evicted as they have a disabled daughter.
Nuisance with cars/junkies turning up all hours of the day & night. :x
