Does anyone know where I can get heinz tomato frito sauce?

I used to be able to buy this in morrisons but then they stopped selling it. So then I found it in Tesco but know they seem to have stopped stocking it as well. I have tried Asda online but they don't have it either. My kids love this stuff on pasta and as a pizza sauce HELP.

thanks we use it as a pasta sauce and pizza sauce kids loved it.

I am also having great difficulty finding Heinz Tomato Frito sauce, my kids absolutely loved this with pasta, if anyone out there knows how i can get hold of it please let me know.

    Hi All,
We are having the same problem. I have emailed heinz and I will let you know if I get any kind of response.

    Found It!
I have spoken to both Heinz and the distributor, Fosters (01858 438020). Heinz UK don't actually have anything to do with the product, it is made by Heinz Spain. When I spoke to the distributor they told me that It is now no longer supplied into any of the major supermarkets. I have today bought 10 jars today from a chain called Booths, booths.co.uk/. They also told me that they are actively marketing it towards the smaller deli type stores and farm shops. They are recruiting more outlets all the time.

    There are currently three in Cheshire;
    1. Allisons Country Kitchen; 01829 771 330; http://www.alisonscountrykitchen.co.uk/about-us.html
    2. Wheelock Hall Farm Shop; Crewe Rd, Sandbach CW11 4RE; 01270 764230
    3. Jessops; 01829 740 277; http://goodfoodshops.blogspot.com/2008/05/tarvin-jessops.html

    Hope this helps.

Hi thanks for all that info very helpful. How did you but from booths do you have a store near you or was it on a delivery order. I had previously rang fosters and they were willing to sell me a case but it would of cost £15 delivery. Am going to blackpool in april so will try and go to the booths in morecombe and stock up then.

Heinz Frito......What a popular little number. Fosters Wholesalers - 01858 438020 - they sell it by the case (12 x 300grms) @ 8.71 + VAT per case. Be warned though, there is a £15.00 delivery charge so order as many as you can find space for as it's the same £15.00 irrespective of how many cases you buy. - At the moment the sell by date is 05/12.

Just rang Fosters very helpful lady answered and is sending me out a product and price list so I can order a few things rather than just the one, especially with the delivery being so high.

I have the same problem. We LOVE it too and it used to be stocked in the big tesco in Belfast, then a smaller one and now NOWHERE. Sauces don't taste the same. I wonder if Fosters deliver here. I would buy at least 8 a month! Anyone know of place to buy Barilla Risoni ( like orzo) online? Can't find anywhere either.

iv had the same problem too can not find the frito anywere and its the only sauce i like on my pasta does anyone know of a place in the midlands or around the midlands which supply the frito. would be grateful to know

Give fosters a ring on 01858 438020, there very helpful if there's anyone near you who stocks it they will know as they are the only suppliers. I've just ordered 2 cases from them as I don't have a local stockist.

Thanks for the information TONEBENNETT1970,we have just picked up 15 jars from Booths. Have been looking for this since Christmas as my children will only eat this with their pasta and Tesco/Morrisons have stopped selling it. Thanks again

Thanks for this, went to Booths in Chorley yesterday. Out of stock but getting some this week and apparently Booths supermarkets will be the only UK stockists going forward. Brilliant service from the staff, several phone calls from them.

Thank you so much for the information about Fosters, the distributors. Does anyone know of a store in London that stocks the precious, irreplaceable Heinz Tomato frito? I simply cannot leave without it. I am exhausting my last supplies from Spain (where it is called Orlando).

If you give Fosters a ring they will be able to let you know there very helpful. Good luck.

A big thank you to everyone for the info. I've been searching for Heinz Tomato Frito since last summer, then I came across this website. Just made a 48 mile round trip to Booths at Ilkley, West Yorkshire to stock my cupboards!
Booths have a really good website, giving store locations and telephone numbers. Unfortunately, they are only in the north of England (mainly Lancashire). Although. now I know where to get it, I'll be incorporating my Frito buying with trips to the Lake District etc!
Hope everyone has as much luck as I did.

If you're local to Milton Keynes then you can get this wonderful product from Lakers in Willen. They just got 2 cases in for me from Fosters and actually ordered more than the two I was after. Very helpful chap there and if he hasn't got any left I'm sure he'd order some for you.

thanks for the information on frito, i love this stuff and cant beleive the supermarkets have stopped it! iv rang fosters today and been given 3 shops to my local area of gloucetershire and worcestershire

Help! I can't find it anywhere. I live in Weymouth on the south coast. Any ideas?

The only stores that seem to stock it is Booths or you can order from Fosters Wholesalers - 01858 438020 they charge delivery of £15 but you can order other things as well give them a ring and ask for a brochure of what they have I found them very helpful. Good luck.

Anyone know where I can buy Heinz Tomato Frito in Scotland? We don't have Booths here. Like everone else, I can't find anything to replace it - used to buy it in Tesco.
    Margaret

Hi Same here, cannot get it for love or money in Cardiff, have e-mailed Booths to see if they have any and if they can deliver. If not its a good excuse to go to Spain to get it

Tomate frito have looked for it all over Kent! I love the stuff most Spanish and South American recipes I know taste far better with this as a base. Every supermarket has sauces for Italian Cooking,Indian Cooking, and Asian cooking hey how about us South Americans and Spanish! We don't only eat paella! will now follow all the above information Thanks folk will keep you posted.

If you're in the Milton Keynes area then Lakers Supermarket in Willen will buy it in for you from Fosters. They just got 2 trays for us and I think he purchased more than the 2 trays and is giving it a go. So worth giving them a try - very helpful and friendly shop. So worth supporting them if possible

Heinz tomato frito can be bought at Booths. They have stores in Knutsford, Cheshire and one in Ripon, North Yorkshire
