Does anyone use football streaming with a VPN?

I use Acestream as much as possible for football streaming and it often buffers. I was advised to try a VPN as the buffering is probably the ISP filtering P2P traffic. THE VPN I use is Cyberghost (I have a 3 month premium trial) but it doesn't make much of a difference. I am with Sky Fibre.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Look in to xbmc and some of the add-ons that use's (Phoenix is a good one.)
i would probably say its the poor streaming and the sites used... iv never had a problem streaming movies without an VPN and i also watch some football via firstrowsports and it constantly buffers...

I use Bloodzeed's Acestream link a lot which has a flawless picture. It's just the buffering that's an issue.

Sports Devil, P-2-P streams as well, I used to use bloodzeed but get the buffering problem as well, I look for streams around the 1500kbps and it runs ok any higher I run into problems and I have 40meg sky fiber, sopcast and torrentstream are good as well if you can find links.

Yeah, there are a few of the streams that are better than others. Funny how all the Dutch and Russian ones are perfect. I've used both Sopcast and torrentstream before but the streams are pretty limited.
Thanks.
I only use my vpn when I am abroad to watch bbc etc on my iPad .
Xbmc on the bonky box(android) works ok.
Have basically the exact same problem. Sky 38meg, stream movies fine and now tv, bloodzeed picture is crisp but always buffers. The russian ones etc are usually a lot better.

I used to prefer bloodzeed when on sopcast, never had problems untill they started cutting streams off or whatever happened.
Since i upgraded to 3.0 i have no issues with buffering, once connected to Bloodzheed it runs smooth, I'm on BT
90meg, but connect wifi with 48meg

yes V. 3.0 acestream

Will give that a go for the weekend football. Cheers.
what are you running XBMC on? if it's a raspberry Pi then you will struggle to get a HD football stream - I'm not technical enough, but the Pi no longer has the capabilities to run a lot of Acestream streams, as they are now running V 3.0

PC/Laptop should be fine - then if it is a Pi, connect that to the PC/Laptop..

It's a pretty high spec PC so it should be fine. I'll give the version 3.0 a go before I mess about with XBMC. It's the same system that XBMC is on so it's not an issue to mess about with it.

ahh yeah of course... i always think Acestream is an addon to XBMC and forget it's a standalone programme..

I think there may have been an add-on but I've never bothered using it.
