Does upgrading your Xbox One HDD void your warranty?

As above i wanna stick a 2TB HDD in my xbox one, i am aware only 1TB is currently supported but as the limit is increased i can re partition it to use more. I did the same with my xbox 360 which has 500GB in and works flawlessly

My question is: will doing this void my warranty? it didn;t on the xbox 360 BUT you could purchase upgradable HDD's on the 360.

My understanding is accessing the internal HDD will void warranty in the UK.
Could you not just use an external HDD expansion?

Here's a gamespot article which came along just before official release (but this is relating to the US warranty I must add)

If you did upgrade the HDD, the retailers warranty can't be void. You still have 1 year with them.

Very bad advice. Given that upgrading the HDD would entail modifying the XBone, thus instantly voiding any retailer/manufacturer backed warranty.

The only thing to do to keep the warranty is use external HDD for extra storage.

Does swapping the HDD trigger any sort of "warranty void" implication, like a sticker or something?

There is a warranty seal which will break the moment you open up an Xbox One.
