Does your lg g4 heat up crazy when playing games? How long does the battery last playing games? does it heat up on a whatsapp call?

My LG G4 I purchased recently heats up like crazy when playing games, its battery also dies very quick, even when im making a whatsapp call.
I just want to make sure that i have a faulty phone, so anyone with a lg g4 please let me know of your experience. Thanks

I dont have insurance, but i have the warranty. But i dont want to send it to lg and just get it back with the same problem. I want to make sure this problem can be fixed and if it cant then i will return it to the seller

Check the model number

503-509 are prone to boot loop mainly caused by playing games. Mine is a 509 and i wouldnt be playing games on it.

Yours is out of warranty now isn't it?

Warranty is good because if the phone hasnt suffered from this issue then there is a good chance it will do or if your extremely lucky you might not.Just make sure you back up everything regularly and be prepared for it just to suffer the bootloop issue and the battery to get hotter and hotter,Luckily you are able to take the battery out but it will be a dead phone till you get it fixed.Have a look at this thread for more information

I think i fixed the heating problem now, but the battery dying is still a problem. It was becuase i had antutu installed and every time i was playing the game it would for some reason start that too. I uninstalled it now it just gets warm. But what about the battery life. Is the lg g4s battery really that bad? OR does it actually normally last a whole day?

also in settings somewhere there's an option save activity log if u uncheck it battery life will improve
My Mrs ph one was running great for 6 months now need 2_3 battery charge top ups a day standby time is around 24/36 hours but when u use it its like 4/8 hours only

Wow really needs 2-3 charges a day? what model is it and has it suffered from the bootloop problem

Usually I get a day and a bit when I'm at work from checking emails etc. Weekends probably a day is say. Mine did get warm when using it as a sat nav but since I updated from a rom on Xda forums it's definitely kept it a bit cooler.

Banned

mine will heat up very rarely, battery can be a pain but i don't mind because it charges quick.
currently the lead needs replacing because it charges only if I press lead down. ordered one yesterday from eBay 99p, says fast charger.

No need.
Simply pull the battery, look at the serial number under the IMEI. The 1st 3 numbers are what are important. e.g. Mine starts with 511 - so not the infamous bootloop range.
