Domain name suggestions

Basically, a few people and I are starting a project in which we will attempt to create a football news site. (probably unsuccessfully)

I've been given the job to think of a name but they all seem to have been snatched up already. Anyone think of a good one?

Any help will be appreciated

mine wasnt a ridiculous suggestion mark-its serious! you are entering a highly competitive market and you want to grab attention right from the start-its football related, everyone knows the song-what do you think has more impact on an advert- footyscores.com or similar or an advert which says YOURE GOING HOME IN AN AMBULANCE-which would grab your attention most?

Jennyrocks - Thanks for those

Barky - Surely a website's name should have some relevance to it's actual purpose, which would be providing users with up to date football news, rather than a montage of horrific tackles.

Sit back & watch members register the domains before you have chance too lol

Good idea OP to ask for advice but maybe not on a public forum

you miss my point-it is football related, and it will make people look-what has moonpig or funkypigeon got to do with greetings cards? its got nowt to do with horrific tackles-its a leftfield domain name, with some connection to football and something like this(not trying to plug my exact suggestion) will grab you far more hits than just calling it footballscores,or saturdaygoals or whatever-there are THOUSANDS of football forums and websites-you have to do something different to grab attention-a website that does nothing other than give football scores isnt gonna stand out-you need a forum, you need quirky stuff-I can see the football scores on my phone,or on yahoo as I check my email. You need a point of difference.

with the best will in the world, you arent going to have exclusive news ahead of the bbc or sky are you? so you need to do something leftfield to be the site of choice.

You mean like Amazon?

Worth remembering that those websites also spend tens/hundreds of thousands of pounds marketing their brand though.

Sounds like news now to me? unless you're writing your own content, which would be even harder to make work, but you've acknowledged that so good luck to you.

do you need rights to publish info about the football league/premier league?
