Domestic [UK] holiday ideas: Relaxation breaks

I'm looking to go on a domestic holiday. I want it to be one centered around relaxation: spa's, jacuzzi's etc. Have you guys been on such holidays...and if so what were your experiences like?
It goes without saying...but I would like to be able to spend the minimum amount. However if something is well worth the money, then I'm prepared to pay up.

Rep for good suggestions.

Thanks

Of course it does if it's away from home and responsibilities and includes relaxation.

I think you'll find they come under the banner of domestic holidays. You should stop skiving your geography lessons.

WHY NOT HIRE OUT A SMALL HOTEL TYPE THING IN CORNWALL- BEACH FRONT? (AARRGHH! ignore caps lock-cant be bothered re-writing it now!) if not then lake district is lovely. saying that, anywhere away from home is a good get-away..just go to a hotel and chill. a good book and an ipod will do. no spa's or jacuzzi's, but a hotel has them as norm anyway.

I keep thinking... gosh one year I wanna take the kids somewhere north enough for it to snow for Christmas! That'd be SO lovely.

I wouldn't take my kids to a hotel tho' there's no way they'd be stuck in a suite of rooms for several hours, I'd need to hire a whole building.

Hi try Macdonalds hotels, we stayed in The Berystede and it was georgous, pool, spa, lovely lounges with plush leather sofas, has it all mate, we went with our kids, who are 7 and 11, when they went for a swim with my husband i curled up on one of there massive sofas in a nice quiet lounge with a bar and read a book, it was bliss, the rooms are lovely too. They do deals so check there website below, hope this helps :-D

There is no such thing as a 'domestic holiday'.

That's an oxymoron.
