Don't trust Quidco's £10 cashback deals? Use this thread to keep track

Some of you will be in the same boat as me when it comes to not trusting Quidcos "Get £10 cashback on a £50 spend at Argos, Boots etc etc" deals.

Quidcos plan is to get you to shop via the various merchants with the promise of £10 cashback when buying over £50 for example.

I've seen any deals posted on here over Xmas (I even posted one) and earlier, but from discussing with forum members and friends, nobody seems to have ever received the £10 cashback....

The way this works is that Quidco post up an offer like todays "Enjoy a £10 cashback bonus when you shop online and spend £50+ at Very, Debenhams, M&S, Argos or Liberty by 2 Jan via Quidco"

You make your purchase (and many people have been stung due to the small print saying the £50 is ex vat) and then you sit back while it tracks at the regular quidco rate 1% etc, with the promise that you'll get the £10 when the item has been confirmed and becomes payable (many weeks/months/year) later.

From my experience, only 30% off my transactions have tracked at all (just for these offers), all other regular quidco transactions have tracked fine. Then having to put in manual claims only gets you the regular rate of cashback and I've yet to hear from anyone who have received the promised £10 cashback when the merchant has confirmed the transaction.

So what i'd like to do is use this thread for everyone to post up the dates and deals where this £10 quidco was promised, then you can use this thread to bring Quidco to task with manual claims for not fulfilling if you just get paid the regular rate minus the £10.

I do reckon their is something fishy going on at Quidco, but at least this way, we all have the Quidco dates and deals in one thread:

    I'll start the ball rolling:

Why contact them? transactions from 14th havent been confirmed yet.

Ive had one quidco £10 bonus confirmed though i dont know where it came from as i didnt keep track, mainly because i was making purchase anyway and wasnt convinced it would pay out. it was either zavvi or book people.

most of these won't be confirmed until the end of January at the earliest, so why are people panicking about these?

Quidco clearly said that these will be paid within three days of the payments being confirmed, so until this period passes there is nothing to worry about.

You're lacking something in short supply in Britain these days. Patience. None of the cash back sites pay out that quickly. Depending on the retailer, you could be waiting 3-5 months before the transaction has tracked and confirmed.

Honestly you could be waiting months. I'm waiting for £16.35 to be paid from a transaction in Halfords on 1st Sept. Ive given up with even believing it's ever going to 'track'.

Aah, I've just posted a similar ( ish) thread, so thanks op for posting this. Yes, I had to query my £10 with a £25 Argos spend. Oh dear, I'll have to keep chasing it. It didn't track. I find their process of raising a claim very cumbersome too. I once waited almost a year for a purchase to track from wynsors shoes with Quidco, by which time they'd stopped offering cashback from there. Lol

Have you put a missing cash back claim in?

I completely agree with mtuk1, with the cash back sites patience is needed, I tend to withdraw every 6 months and once it's tracked I don't tend to keep checking. If I get it then great, if not then it's no biggie as I don't tend to buy stuff factoring in the cash back.

I did the £10 boots offer and it only tracked at the normal rate. I wasn't too disappointed as I only bought stuff I needed but it would have been a nice bonus

Because you have an entitlement to return goods upto several weeks after purchase the purchase cannot be confirmed yet.
    You just need to wait.

Hate quidco, signed up a few months ago they had an offer to spend ANY amount on hungryhouse for delivery and get £5 cashback. Got 10p cashback. Closed my account. A month ago, opened a new account. Did a new groupon user £10 cashback. Claim denied. Seriously hate these people, they are getting you to shop by enticing you with cashback which they then don't pay out due to millions of made up reasons... whereas in 6 years of topcashback, I've never had any issue at all... ever.

Will not use quidco ever again. sorry, rant over.

Another posted today, again seems like nobody to this day has confirmed that Quidco paid up the £10 incentive.

On behalf of everyone, I've been in touch with Quidco to ask them to pull their finger out and add something to any transactions covered by these type of deals to display "£10 incentive if confirmed"....

When I said this, you could tell their faces dropped, so lets wait and see if they implement this. If they don't, well we can only assume where that money goes.....

The deal is they will apply £10 to your account when the company coughs up the standard % cashback due.

That is why no one has had £10 from December. Its not due yet.

One of my pur has been declined by company (book people) so not holding much on getting the £10 associated with that purchase, the other one, I don't know...giving up with quidco and tcb, and moving on to complete savings instead, was offered sign up after purchase with Argos, read t&cs carefully, called customer services before signing up to check how genuine they are, put a claim through for a welcome £15 cash back, spoke to customer services again today to make surelaim has been received and should get that between 4 to 6 weeks, another online purchase this month should give me 10% cash back and another £15 as a bonus, only thing is they will charge £15 from next month(30 days trial), which they "refund" you with a monthly bonus for any purchase with any retailer they partner with so will give them a try. Cash back is minimum 10% on a lot of retailers. If they are leas hassle than the "free" cash back site, think I'll stick with them

£10 off of any amount m&m direct. Can't remember the date.

Emailed someone and she said it is tracking and I am eligible so it is just a case of waiting. I have also said I only purchased the item because of the cash back and will be getting a refund it it isn't given to me.
