Dont you just hate it when stores force you to buy a bundle [Nintendo DS]

Found 6th Dec 2007
Hi all

Im new here, so please go easy on me

Ive just had one hell of a time getting a DS console on its own to replace a broken one.

Worse still, the only people who had them in stock were the people with "bundle deals only", eg Game and Toys-r-us.

On saying that though, the Leeds White Rose Game had just one left (and only as part of a bundle), while the Centre27 Toys R Us had quite a few pinks and blacks, and only a couple of whites left, so anyone round there would be well advised to go get asap (stock levels correct at Wednesday Night, 05-Dec)

Theres nothing worse than having to buy a bundle though, but on saying that, they offered me a deal where I can pick any one game (£14.99 cheapest). I chose a £20 brain game, the lady behind the desk wrote me out a ticket for the console and told me to take the game and the ticket to the point of sale to pay. Theres a cheat here - if you conveniently "lose" the game on the way to the tills (I dropped mine off on a shelf), you can hand in the NDS ticket and pay for just the console. It worked for me today!

Some people might question the legality, but then at the same time, I question the legality of them forcing a bundle deal just because they know we cant get it anywhere else.

Anyhow, this works at Toys R us especially because they break up the serving/point-of-sale sections, until they catch on it should be straightforward to buy just the console at any TrU shop.

Though this might help someone. Post up if it helped!

Jas.
