anyone know why bk, McDonald's etc have a maximum height?
as a van driver its pretty annoying, especially these days.

As some have canopies that over hang the windows and therefore you would get stuck
Maybe because it stops people with caravans pitching up in the car park. Those barriers appear around here shortly after such incursions.

You got it they are normally where there is an overhang. Had one where I used to work except sometimes people would cut around it and back into the queue. In more than one occasion the corner of the roof had been knocked off. Someone hired a Luton can and went into the restrictor, with enough force to bend the supporting post.

Wouldn’t caravans still be able to pitch in the car park though? The height restriction is only at the drive through bit.
