Dry Cat food. Is there a difference between an own brand and an expensive brand?

I feed my cat/kitten James Wellbeloved which is one of the more expensive dry cat foods, i was looking at the others such as IAMS and Go cat etc. Is there really a difference apart from the cost. My cat seems to have a v delicate stomach and will be sick or worse (seems to be if she eats a little of our food or some wet cat food) so i have decided dry food (as then she's fine) is the way to go. It is also more hygenic and better for her teeth. Now i would like some advice from any of you cat lovers, my cat has a lovely shiny thick coat is she just lucky or is it the expensive food she eats lol.
