DSi comes out, naturally DS price will fall, but..

Around how many days/weeks/months before I can get a nice deal on DS Lite? When do you guys think it'll drop to hopefully 60 quids new?

it wont fall, apart from the normal offers, by all accounts the dsi is more like to drop in price than the ds lite

i dont reckon it will drop in price...the DS alike the Wii has held its value, and the DSi they have priced higher i reckon so they dont have to drop their DS Lites...
Also further reasoning with the DS Lite might be the heavy usage of 'cards' for the DS, thus people dont mind spending on the hardware as they know they wont be spending out on software

i went into blockbusters and they said that the price wont be dropping as the dsi was'nt as good

i saw the phat ds in game with two games for £59.99 im surprised these are that price

I think most places have low stocks of DS lite's anyway.

    Are Nintendo still producing them?

Nintendo will continue to produce the DS Lite for AGES yet, and they wont drop the price till the demand starts to wain, which in the case of the DS, wont be for ages to come.
Nintendo have a way of having two handheld consoles run along side by side quite nicely, look back to the Gameboy and tghe Gameboy Pocket, then when the Colour came out, they dropped the original, the pocket colour came along and bye bye went the black and white pocket.
They even did the same with the GBA, releasing the SP later on and still selling both, heck, the GBA Micro was released AFTER the original DS Phat was for heavens sake!!
Ninty will milk the DS Lite for everything it is worth, and then a little bit more, trust me

    Mike..

They won't drop to £60 as an RRP.

    End of discussion.
