Dual SIM Phone deal required

Found 8th Dec 2009
I am looking for a dual-SIM mobile phone, though none are produced by the large manufacturers and they are still very much a fringe item. I really want one with a qwerty keyboard aswell, further limiting my options. Can anyone recommend a model? I've seen a few such as chinese products like 'The Element' (see 1st link below) or Blackberry rip-off Blueberry (2nd link) but don't have much idea whether they're just rubbish or not. The Blueberry on Amazon has 2 reviews but they conflict on whether the SIMs can be used concurrently, which I'd want. Can anyone help? Does anyone have any positive or negative experiences of similar phones, or imported chinese phones full stop?

Did you post this to include my links within hyperlinks? If so, thanks for that - I didn't see an option to do that when posting initially, thought they might be rendered automatically as links.
Hi
I can offer a sciphone (i9) , (iphone clone ) only a month old. It was used for both personal and work but I could not download push email to it for work so I no longer use it.

Let me know if interested
thanks

Hi - thanks for the offer, although I'm really after one with a keyboard, my wife has an iPhone and I'm not that impressed with touchscreen phones compared to Blackberry type ones. Also, i'd want to use the phone for emails, one of the main reasons for wanting qwerty - so if you couldn't get it to work for emails that'd be no use to me.
In general though, what did you think of it? Could you use 2 SIMs at the same time? Any feedback would be of help cos if the phone is good the same company may offer a qwerty product and I'd buy with a bit more confidence.
HI
This phone does do emails, it just doesn't do push emails which most people do not use any way. Be careful with Dual simms as some phones are not both active at the same time, you may have to turn the phone on and off to change between the simms. I find the phone perfect especially for the internet as its full html presentation. Fully qwerty not really worth it, I played with both, the touch screen i found more reliable, the hard key ones are usualy made from cheap plastic that will break after a while, pay the extra and find a uk seller of them so you can return the phone if you need to. My phone is only £50 delivered :-)

So your phone is active dual SIM - i.e. you can be on standby to 2 networks at the same time? Can you de-activate either SIM if you want?
Hi, I have used a few of these in the past and can honestly say the cheap chinese ones that are always on eBay are useless - do NOT buy them no matter how tempting it looks.

Out of the recognised brand, google search 'Samsung duos', it's their range of quality dual sim phones (yes, both sims work at the same time - you can select which sim you want to make a call/message with, and you can see which sim is being called for incoming calls!) I have personally used the Samsung D880 with absolutely no problems! (Although I don't think they have a QWERTY-keyboard sorry)
search for E73 or E72 on fleabay they are selling Nokia E72 clones with Dual Sim capability
