E-bay selling fees?? Advice needed please..

    Hi HUKD'ers

A friend has asked me for some advice on selling his caravan on E-bay.
His valuation of it is between £11k - £12k.

Would his cheapest option be to list it as a "classified ad sale" or to list it
as an auction with a buy it now price and set a reserve on it?

As I've never sold anything of such high value I couldn't advise him as to how much
E-bay would have in the way of sellers fees on either type of listings?
I did say I would ask the Questin on here, as there are a lot of people on here
with more E-bay knowledge than me.

    Thanks in advance

advertise it in the local newspaper, shop windows etc, put a sign in the window of it, send a text through your phone book and at worst case list on ebay, or list it aswell with a little clause saying its listed elsewhere and maybe do buyitnow or best offer, sometimes auctions dont fetch what you want.

Best bet is stick it in local paper etc, Fees are just far too much now on ebay.

    local paper hands down

classified adds section in one of the many caravan mags

    +1 agreed

    Classified ad is £12.99
Auction or buy it now would be £43 at most

yeah, with classified ads you don't pay anything other than the listing fee - much larger audience and a quick sale. One of the few things that's good value on ebay
