I can't watch Smallville on E4 - it's so speeded up they all sound like they're breathing helium

    Strange your e4 is fubard.

    No. it's not my E4...it's everybody's E4.

Smallville is filmed in 24fps, we broadcast in 25fps in the UK.

Cheap broadcasters like E4 and C5 just speed up the playback. If you're used to the proper version, the speeded up version is hiliarious. It sounds like Clark's voice hasn't broken yet.

It wasn't the episode guest starring Joe Pasquale was it?

I too find it hard to believe 24 to 25fps is noticeable.

    Best post today.

I can confirm that it doesn't sound like helium on my TV

Best go to Specsavers (they do hearing tests now)

I know how it all works, believe me...totally different to an almost comical scale.
